It was love at first sight the flight.
A woman discovered love was in the air after a chance encounter with a pilot in Mexico, which began a romance for the ages. A video of the couple’s memorable first date is currently trending on TikTok with over 80 million views.
“They say what goes out to you always comes back,” said Fernanda Ramirez, who boasts over 480,000 TikTok followers, via Jam Press.
The passenger had filmed a video for her social media channels while waiting to fly to Cancun.
It was there that she bumped into a pilot, Carlos.
In the video from August, the content creator can be seen posing for the camera, when suddenly, the flyboy walks right into him, seemingly distracted by his device.
The two lock eyes for a second before going their separate ways as they take one last look at each other.
It seemed that any hope of a relationship –BOAT had sailed.
Then, while the influencer was on her flight, footage exploded on TikTok as online matchmakers asked Ramirez to track down the captain.
“This can’t just end with one look,” one fan fumed on Instagram, while another begged: “If he’s single, I’ll send you all.”
That seemed to do the trick. In a twist straight out of a romantic comedy, Carlos saw the clip and contacted the passenger, revealing that he was the pilot in her music video.
If that wasn’t weird enough, Ramirez happened to be traveling to Mexico City — the same place her beau had just touched down.
After corresponding online, the two agreed to meet there in person, beginning an “Officer And A Gentleman” style love saga.
This was more than a fly-by-night romance. The social media star revealed the couple featured in an October TikTok video that compared footage of their first date with a recent clip of them locked in an embrace.
“It’s unbelievable how we coped so well,” Ramirez said.
Viewers were over the moon that their relationship took off.
“She caught her feelings, then she took a flight,” said one adoring fan.
Another wrote: “I’m so glad the algorithm took me back to their love story.”
